EARTHSHIP MADE OF RECYCLED MATERIALS – BIOCLIMATIC HOUSE (Insulating technology from 1973)
"Come and experience a semi-buried house in Dordogne,
featuring a greenhouse running along the entire length of the house where plants and vegetables grow."
Interested in themes of autonomy, energy frugality, resilience, ecological transition, and bioclimatic architecture?
In an Earthship, even though nature allows us to heat, have energy, and water, we are still dependent on a few tools: pumps, inverter, solar water heater… Their use is as simple as possible to facilitate self-repair. Come discover its universe, its operation, and share your experiences!
The house has two bedrooms (each with a double bed 160), two bathrooms, a sofa bed in the living room, a chair that can be converted into a single bed, and a small mattress for a child. We have also set up a glamping tent with an inflatable mattress outside.
We have a large garden open to the forest with a terrace, a large vegetable garden, and 5 hens that give us fresh eggs every day. Our house is located in Biras in Dordogne, 20 minutes north of Périgueux.
